Entente Cordiale Inn is located at Portland Creek on Newfoundland’s Great Northern Peninsula, approximately 1.5 hours north of the airport town of Deer Lake and 3 hours south of St. Anthony.
Because of our central location, many guests see us as an ideal base to explore the entire peninsula, from Gros Morne National Park and Arches Provincial Park in the south to Torrent River Salmon Interpretation Center, Port au Choix National Historic Site, Thrombolite Walking Trail at Flower’s Cove, French Shore Historical Society Museum in Conche, and L’Anse aux Meadows UNESCO World Heritage Site in the north.
We are only 1 hour 40 minutes from St. Barbe, where travelers can take a 1-hour ferry across the Strait of Belle Isle to Blanc Sablon, Labrador, en route to Battle Harbour or Red Bay UNESCO World Heritage Site.
In the Long Range (Appalachian) Mountains to the east are the International Appalachian Trail’s Indian Lookout and Devil’s Bites Trails, and the scenic inland fiords of Portland Creek and Parsons Ponds.
